1: Overview
Activation codes license the CAPI App for use. To learn more about how to manage your company’s licensed devices, see Device Management.
2: General Tips on using Activation Codes
You can set up a code for use on multiple devices. You don't need a unique code for each one.
It is recommended to create separate codes any time there are separate independent field agencies using CAPI App.
When the CAPI App is activated with an activation code, the device appears in Device Management. Activating a device uses one of your available licenses.
3: Create Activation Code
Complete the setup, then click + Activation Code to create a new activation code.
1 Start Date - String date that code is active.
2 End Date - End date that code becomes inactive.
3 Max number of uses - The number of times the code can be used. For unlimited, leave empty or enter 0. The activation step will still be limited to the number of available licenses.
4 Enforce Encryption - When enabled, the CAPI app can only be activated on devices that have device encryption enabled. Windows devices require BitLocker to be enabled.
4: Expired Activation Codes
Activation codes expire when the current date matches or is later than the code’s end date. Expired codes can’t be used to activate devices.
5: Expire Activation Codes
To expire an activation code, select the Remove icon next to the code.
This will set the End Date to the current date and show as Expired.
